The Australian Made Campaign’s Chief Executive, Ian Harrison, has announced he is stepping down at the end of July this year, after 14 years at the helm of the organisation responsible for promoting and administering the nation’s iconic green-and-gold Australian Made, Australian Grown logo.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) recently became the first Western media outlet to be given approval to register and run a Chinese web portal within China, The highly recognised and trusted Australian Made, Australian Grown logo is being used to help promote the portal. offers mainland Chinese a new gateway to Australia, centred around business, finance, travel, education and culture, and will join the already-strong Australia Plus network, and targets.

The mainland Chinese being targeted are the young, aspiring, educated, urban, curious, tech-savvy among the population and those seeking to travel, work and study in Australia.

The new portal will join ABC International’s Australia Plus network, which already reaches more than 190 million people through its 24 hour television channel and through its digital, social and mobile platforms.
