In light of COVID-19, the Australian Made Campaign (AMCL) has launched a consumer campaign to remind Australians that now, more than ever, is the time to buy local and support Australian products.
AMCL started the campaign back in April, calling on consumers to ‘Look for the logo the nation trusts’ through a multi-channel marketing campaign across radio, digital advertising and social media.
The campaign will be expanded and enhanced in the coming weeks to incorporate ‘It’s never been more important to buy Australian than right now’ messaging. It will encompass prime time television placements, metropolitan and regional billboards, advertisements in national newspapers, and a comprehensive social and digital campaign.
This market activity aims to reinforce the reputation of the Australian Made logo as Australia’s trusted country of origin certification and encourage consumers to support Australian manufacturers and growers by looking for the famous Australian Made, Australian Grown logo when shopping.
According to Roy Morgan research, almost all Australians (99%) recognise the Australian Made logo, with the vast majority of those (84%) associating the logo with supporting local jobs and employment. Over half of Australians also connect the Australian Made Logo with products that are of high quality (58%) and are produced using ethical labour (57%).
The campaign has already helped to successfully drive interest in Australian Made products online, with visitation on Australian Made’s website hitting a record 255,000+ sessions in April and a 1,249%* increase in monthly new Facebook followers.
There has so been significant media interest, with the logo appearing across multiple media channels, including A Current Affair, Sunrise, major metropolitan newspapers and radio channels.
Make sure you capitalise on the campaign by placing the logo clearly on the front of product packaging and promoting it across marketing and communications material related to your registered products.
