Great Wrap is a materials science company manufacturing the only compostable stretch wrap made from food waste. We make our revolutionary stretch wrap for homes and businesses to help end the reliance on petroleum-based plastic. Our materials performs the same as conventional plastic but will break down in under 180 days in your compost pile leaving no microplastics behind.
Great Wrap was founded by Jordy and Julia Kay, a former architect and winemaker. They were disgusted by the amount waste caused by their industries so they decided to do something about it. We don’t support half-truths or greenwashing. Our products are made from the best materials possible, every day. We believe true innovation happens on a molecular level. The materials we touch and feel must be redesigned from the beginning. Currently, we use the starch from potato waste, in the future we will continue to innovate utilising the greatest technology available.
