The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) recently became the first Western media outlet to be given approval to register and run a Chinese web portal within China, The highly recognised and trusted Australian Made, Australian Grown logo is being used to help promote the portal. offers mainland Chinese a new gateway to Australia, centred around business, finance, travel, education and culture, and will join the already-strong Australia Plus network, and targets.

The new portal will join ABC International’s Australia Plus network, which already reaches more than 190 million people through its 24 hour television channel and through its digital, social and mobile platforms.

Content is exclusively produced for the site by ABC International as well as being curated from the ABC's domestic platforms and re-versioned for a Chinese audience.

Boundless plains to share
