Winning awards that recognise all the hard work, innovation and dedication that goes into product design and manufacturing, these are just some of the Australian Made companies that have recognised for all their efforts this year.

 

Artisans Bespoke Jewellers - 2023 JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards winner

Artisans Bespoke Jewellers Founder Tammy Keers and Trade Jeweller Kathy McLay were awarded 2023 Jeweller of the Year for their piece ‘Amelia’ - Australia’s first handmade Diamond Clutch. A tribute to aviation pioneer Amelia Earheart, the piece took over 300 hours to design and meticulously craft by hand. Artisans Bespoke Jewellers has been proudly making bespoke art deco-inspired jewellery in Brisbane since 2006. 

 

Tekpeg - 2023 Australian Good Design Awards winner

Winning an Australian Good Design Award for Product Design in Housewares and Objects, Tekpeg is an inventive new step in laundry peg design. Made with up to 50% recycled plastic, it uses a UV-resistant engineering polymer to outperform and outlast similar cheaper pegs. Tekpeg Clothespins combines clever mechanical engineering, industrial design and Aussie innovation.

 

Put A Lid On It - 2023 Australian Good Design Awards winner

The Round Serving Bowl from Put A Lid On It won an Australian Good Design Award for Product Design in Housewares and Objects. Made in Sydney from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic that otherwise would have gone to landfill, the bowls display a swirling, marbled effect that mimics ceramics without adding weight to the dish. This innovative ‘servingware’ bowl has a fitted lid that can double as a serving plate. 

 

Science Skincare - 2023 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards winner

Awarded ACT Promising Exporter, Science Skincare is headed by Owner and Founder Adj A/Professor Elissa O’Keefe and is grounded in scientific evidence. Science Skincare is manufactured in Sydney and uses certified organic and naturally sourced Australian native botanical ingredients to create skincare that is designed for problem skin. 

 

Mumamoo - 2023 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards winner

Awarded Business of the Year and Small Business of the Year, Mumamoo is owned by Belinda Humphris, Kristina Scutella, Charlotte Chambers and Miriam Weir - four Aussie mums who are passionate about manufacturing scientifically formulated, nutritionally balanced infant formula. Manufacturing in Hallam, Victoria, Mumamoo uses locally sourced ingredients in its products wherever possible, including 100% Australian cow’s milk. 

 

REDARC Electronics - 2023 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards winner

Winning an Export Award for Manufacturing and Advanced Materials, REDARC has been developing and manufacturing electronic products in Australia for over 40 years. The South Australian business has become internationally renowned and manufactures products ranging from electronic voltage converters and power supplies to battery chargers, brake controllers and more. 

 

Amiga Engineering - 2023 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Award winner

Awarded 2023 Manufacturer of the Year (Small Business), Amiga Engineering is an innovative business in the additive manufacturing space, producing gearboxes, aerators and other components. From crafting fittings and flanges to incorporating cutting-edge industrial-sized additive manufacturing techniques, Amiga Engineering has honed its manufacturing capabilities for over 35 years. 

 

Think Fencing - 2023 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Award winner

Winner of the 2023 Leader in Manufacturing award, Think Fencing manufactures fencing systems from recycled PVC plastic. Headed by Founder Jack Fitzgerald, the Victorian-based business has designed, developed and manufactured fences for residential and rural purposes since 1999. 

 

Ausmix - 2023 Greater Hume Council Award winner

Winning the Greater Hume Council Award at the 2023 Henty Machinery Field Days, Ausmix is made by Wodonga-based agricultural machinery company FarmTech. Designed and manufactured in-house, the newly released Ausmix feed mixer was praised for its robust design and performance efficiency. Farmtech is a proud part of the local Albury-Wodonga manufacturing community. 

 

Solidteknics - 2023 Naturally Good Awards winner

The AUS-ION™ range of frypans and baking trays from Solidteknics was awarded Best Australian Manufactured Product at the 2023 Naturally Good Awards. The seamless one-piece pans and trays are wrought from a single piece of iron and are free from toxins, synthetic coatings or heavy metals. Founded in 2014 by mechanical engineer and keen cook Mark J. Henry, Solidteknics manufactured the only wrought-iron range produced in Australia. 

 

The Hygiene Co - 2023 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards winner

Awarded Emerging Business of the Year, CleanLIFE wipes are plastic-free, flushable and compostable wet wipes. The first plastic-free wipe manufacturer in Australia, Founders Phil Scardigno and Corey White established The Hygiene Co to combat the huge environmental issue of plastic wipes, which contribute over 25,000 tonnes of plastic to landfills each year in Australia.
