Australian Made licensees helped rally behind local families this month, donating 50 Australian Made packs to Ronald McDonald House North Fitzroy at Casa Elda Vaccari.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania (RMHC VIC & TAS) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing vital programs for families with seriously ill children. This year the Australian Made Campaign adopted an ‘Australian Made’ room to provide accommodation for families caring for seriously ill children.
The packs contained Australian Made:
- Kakadu Plum & Marshmallow Baby Moisture Lotions from Bubba Organics,
- Goats milk soap from Soap De Villa,
- Baby and infant nappies from Mater Baby Products,
- Beeswax based balms from HoneyBee Hives,
- Adults and kids toothpaste from Grants of Australia,
- Containers from Décor Australia,
- Happy Hands Anti Bacterial Hand Sanitiser from Happy Hygiene,
- Colouring in packs from Tinta Crayons,
- And plush toys from Windmill Toys.
Ronald McDonald House North Fitzroy at Casa Elda Vaccari provides fully furnished bedrooms, communal lounges, kitchens, BBQs, play areas, a laundry and pantry to the families of seriously ill children, supporting them in their time of greatest need.
It is home to up to 25 families whose children are receiving treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Mercy and Women’s Hospitals. The children access treatment from every department in the hospitals, the most common service providers being oncology, cardiology, transplant, neonatal intensive care, respiratory and neurology.
