Beauty, Skincare and Makeup Asia Market Opportunity Guide

Australian Made licensees are strongly placed to expand into Asian markets, especially as consumers become more familiar with Australian brands. However, to do so successfully, it is important that businesses identify relevant markets and understand how to export to them. To assist with this, the Australian Made Campaign Limited (AMCL) has developed a new Asia Export Market Opportunity Guide for the Beauty, Skincare and Makeup category.

The guide has been designed to provide a starting point for businesses to better understand consumers in each market, gain insights into key distribution channels and build knowledge of the regulatory requirements. It covers all markets where the Australian Made trademark is registered within Asia, including China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Local Chinese Store and Campaign

Australian Made has partnered with Alipay, the preferred payment method for Chinese customers, to create a bespoke Australian Made in-app store. If you are looking for new ways to engage with the local Chinese community, then this opportunity could be right for you*.

AMCL is encouraging brands with the following products to consider being involved:

  • beauty, skincare and makeup
  • fashion and fashion accessories
  • baby and mother
  • vitamin and health supplements

AMCL will support the store with a campaign in the lead up to key shopping or festive periods to raise awareness of the Australian Made logo and store and encourage the local Chinese community to familiarise themselves with or purchase from participating brands.
